Dear Mother Earth,
I’d like to thank you
For all you provide
And everything that you do.
You grow all our food
In your fertile soil.
You are the land,
On which we all toil.
Though sometimes it seems,
We get caught within
Our own little comforts
And forget that bin.
That bright blue container
In which we can place
The very items
To save our own race.
Recycling is simple.
And it’s easy too.
I promise to do it,
Just to save you.
Your precious resources,
I’d like to ration.
We should do “green” things!
And with a passion.
A planet like yours
Is so hard to find.
In our solar system,
It’s one of a kind.
I promise to be wise
And not to be wasteful,
For the beauty of your oceans
Is my view of graceful.
Dear Mother Earth,
I’d like to thank you
For all you provide
And everything that you do.
